Harper Makes her LA Galaxy Debut!

She may have been more interested in her bottle than watching her father in action on the pitch. But David Beckham's daughter Harper was a notable addition to his legion of fans during LA Galaxy Awards.

Becks was on the field at the Home Depot Center in California taking part in a match against Chivas - while, in their private box, his wife Victoria tended to their little girl. Victoria made sure Harper was well protected, keeping her on the right side of the glass in their VIP area, while the Beckham boys, Brookyln, Romeo and Cruz cheered on their father outside in the stands.

Ever the proud, doting mother Victoria fed the 2-month-old milk from her bottle and held her lovingly as the boys kept a keen eye on David.

Also in the stands, bolstering the family's support for David, were the footballer superstar's mother Sandra and his sister Joanna.

Video: Match Highlights & Post Match Interview with David

My Photos from Last Night's Galaxy Match

My bestfriend and I had the pleasure of spending last night with David Beckham and the rest of the LA Galaxy at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, NJ. Our tickets were my birthday gift from my fiance and he did a great job picking out perfect seats for us! We were second row and right behind where the Galaxy practiced. The arena is amazing.. it's brand new, beautiful, and literally every seat in the house is a good one (I'd strongly urge you all to go if you ever get a chance to see a match there). David acted as the captain last night as Landon Donovan was out with an injury. The final score was a Red Bull home victory with a 2-0 result. The photos below are my personal pictures from the game.. enjoy ;)

Robbie Keane had a hugely successful debut with LA Galaxy on Saturday as he scored his first MLS goal, helping his new team to a 2-0 victory over the San Jose Earthquakes.

Robbie's new team mate David Beckham ran up to Robbie after the goal, lifting him up and high-fiving the new recruit. David was instrumental in wooing Robbie to the MLS - Keane revealed that they chatted extensively about LA Galaxy and a potential move while David trained with his old team Tottenham earlier in the year.

Video: The Galaxy win Over Motagua 2-0

NOTES:

■ David Beckham, Adam Cristman and Miguel Lopez all made their CONCACAF Champions League debuts in the game with Beckham and Cristman each starting the game and Lopez coming on as a late second half substitute in place of Mike Magee.

■ With the win, the Galaxy are now 1-0-0 in Group A for three points. They are now tied for first place in the group, with LD Alajuelense, who beat Monarcas Morelia 1-0 in Costa Rica tonight.

■ The Galaxy have now won each of their last two games in the CONCACAF Champions League, dating back to their 2-1 win on the road over the Puerto Rico in the second leg of their Preliminary Round series last year.

■ The assist was David Beckham’s first in the Champions League, coming in his first-ever game in the competition.

Quotes from LA Galaxy Midfielder David Beckham

On the result:

“Obviously, it was important that we won the game. We could have scored a few more goals. Overall, we wanted to win the game and get the first three points. And, that’s what was important, to win the game and get off to a good start, and we did that.”

On Motagua’s style of play:

“They are a team that passes the ball around well, and we were aware of that. And, if we sat back too much, which we did at times, I think that they were good enough to create chances. I think that if we would have taken more of our chances it would have made it a lot easier for us at the end of the night.”

On winning at home:

“It’s always the goal, especially when we play at home. I think it’s important that we always win our games at home and we go on from there. We said before the competition started, and this game started tonight, that it’s important to win our games at home and we do what we can on the road.”

MLS All-Star Game Ends 4-0

Last week was the MLS All-Star game right here in NJ at the Red Bull Arena. The MLS All-Stars were defeated by Manchester United with a final score of 4-0. David Beckham was very influential over the first 45 minutes of the match.

Even though the game did not end in his favor, David was still extremely hoored to have taken part in the match. After the game, he told ESPN: “It was an honor to play today. I think in the first 10 minutes we had a couple of really good chances. If we had put those away, that would have settled us down. Man United is a team that performs at the highest level, and if you don't capitalize on good chances, they can kill you. And, obviously, they did once they got the first goal. They played the ball around so well, and it's a pleasure to play them tonight."

Video: David's Post Real Madrid/Galaxy Match Interview

David Acts as Captain in World Football Challenge with RM

David Beckham and LA Galaxy played David's former team Real Madrid at the LA Coliseum for the 'Herbalife World Football Challenge' in LA last night. David acted as the Galaxy's captain and wore a bright yellow arm band with his new LA uniform. The Galaxy were unfortunately defeated 4-1 by Real Madrid.

Even though the match didn't end in the Galaxy's favor, David genuiely seemed to enjoy being able to play with his former team and be with some old friends.

Victoria did not attend the match as she stayed home to rest after the birth of the couple's only daughter, but that didn't stop the boys. Brooklyn and Romeo were spotted in the stands with actor Zach Galifianakis watching the match.

Galaxy's Star Midfielder is Excited to Face Former Club

On Saturday, David Beckham will line up against los Merengues for the first time since leaving the Spanish outfit following the 2006-07 La Liga season. "To be facing Real Madrid for the first time since I left, it’s emotional,” Beckham said. “You get attached to a club, you get attached to people in a club.”

Beckham played for Real Madrid from 2003 to 2007 and helped Madrid win La Liga in his final season with the club. His stunning move to Spain made global headlines and paved the way for Beckham to create an impact in yet another world power.

I spent four amazing years at Real Madrid,” he said. “To go from a club like Manchester United to Real Madrid, it really doesn’t get much better than that in football. I’ve got many friends still there, many friends as players and fans and throughout the club as well.

The Galaxy have played Real Madrid twice before. In 2005 they played a friendly match at the Home Depot Center. Real won by 2-0 over the Galaxy who. Last August, the two teams met again in a memorable friendly at the Rose Bowl. The Galaxy took a 2-0 lead before Real Madrid stormed back and won the match 3-2. However, Beckham’s participation was limited to an onlooker as he was rehabilitating a torn Achilles tendon.

It was disappointing because you always want to play in those games,” Beckham said about the match. “They’re exciting games, especially in front of a capacity crowd. Hopefully I’ll be good for this one.”

Sharing a field with such players and against such a storied club is something every footballer looks forward to, Beckham said. “You always get excited about playing against Real Madrid and some of the best players in the world. I’m sure the fans are excited as well. It’s any player’s dream to play in these games.”

Video: David Scores Winning Goal for the Galaxy

This was a very eventful weekend for David Beckham. Not only did his baby daughter arrive on Sunday (which was the biggest event for the entire family), but he also proved he's still a force to be reconed with on the soccer field as he scored the winning goal for the LA Galaxy on Saturday.

David struck a corner kick toward the near post and the ball went untouched through a crowd and into the net for the game winning goal. The LA Galaxy beat the Chicago Fire 2-1 with Beckham recording a goal and an assist.

Becks is Disappointed with Scoreless Tie Last Night

Last night, the Los Angeles Galaxy took on DC United at the Home Depot center. The end result was a disappointing tied score of 0-0.

Even though David was appointed Captain in last night's match as Landon Donovan was away with USA duties, he still was extremely dissatisfied with the way the team played. "We have to forget this performance," Beckham said. “It was a disappointing performance, no matter who's not playing."

Head coach Bruce Arena wasn't thrilled either: "I think our performance tonight was totally poor," Galaxy coach Bruce Arena said, adding that Donovan's absence had "nothing to do with" the team’s poor display.

The Galaxy defense did its job once again though, posting the team’s fourth consecutive shutout and earning a point for the MLS leaders (8-2-6, 30 points).

"Shutting them out was probably the only positive tonight," midfielder David Beckham said.

LA Galaxy News and Notes:
- Friday night sightings at the Home Depot Center: Dutch midfielder Wesley Sneijder watched the match with his wife... they sat near Victoria and the boys
- Davies said was disappointed because he didn't received a national team call up for the Gold Cup, but was pleased that coach Bob Bradley called him before naming the squad to explain his reasoning.
- Captain Landon Donovan was named the MLS Player of the Month for May... he scored six goals in seven games as the Galaxy posted a 4-1-2 record during the month.
- Arena said Angel picked up "a minor knock on Wednesday" and didn’t recover in time to play in the match but he will be ready for Saturday.
- The team will host Toronto FC tonightat 7:30 p.m.
- The Galaxy announced they will debut a new third jersey for their July 4th match against Seattle Sounders FC and it will be unveiled July 1st at a VIP event in LA.

David Beckham to Wear Galaxy Captain Band Tomorrow

The LA Galaxy will host D.C. United tomorrow (Friday - June 3rd) and they will also honor local Southern California military men and women with 1,000 free tickets.

The Galaxy will once again be short-handed this season with Landon Donovan and Donovan Ricketts participating in the Gold Cup this weekend. With Landon Donovan out of the picture, the captain of the Galaxy will be David Beckham. With Ricketts also playing for the United States, the Galaxy will lean on Josh Saunders to pick up the slack between the sticks as the Galaxy goalkeeper.

This is the second meeting between the D.C. United and the Los Angeles Galaxy. The first match resulted in a tie when the two played in Washington D.C. With this match taking place at the Home Depot Center in Carson, the Galaxy will still have an edge despite missing two of their most important stars.

Juan Pablo Angel will have to step up in this match and give support to Beckham. Chad Barrett is another Los Angeles Galaxy scorer that will need to come to the fore front.

The Galaxy-United tilt is the featured MLS game of the week on the Fox Soccer Channel and the star of the show will undoubtedly be David Beckham. With Landon Donovan away at the Gold Cup, it is the perfect opportunity for the Galaxy to promote some of their other incredibly talented stars.
