Meetings with Posh by Zoe Griffin

Zoe Griffin, Website Editor of LiveLikeaVip.com tells Cosmo about meeting the one and only Victoria Beckham.

When I tell people I'm a showbiz journalist they always ask whether or not I've met Victoria Beckham. Of course, I have! I wouldn't have been doing my job properly if I hadn't met and interviewed one of the most famous British women of our times at some point in my journalistic career. And how could I call my own website LiveLikeAVIP.com when I am yet to met one of the celebrities we all wish to copy (whether we'll admit to it or not).

I've hung out with Victoria in Monaco at the Fashion Rocks event, I interviewed her when she launched her fragrance range, I was there when the Spice Girls reformed and I've bumped into her at countless other awards ceremonies from fashion industry events to Elton John's Oscars party.

As she celebrates the birth of the newest addition to her family, Harper Seven, I wish her all the best as she's more likeable than you think.

(1) Food, glorious food!

I remember approaching Victoria Beckham's table during the end of an awards ceremony, when most people were mingling. As I said hello, I was surprised to see she had a spoonful of chocolate mousse in her mouth. She asked me if I could come back when she'd finished her chocolate. Later on, I came back and asked her how she found the dessert. "Why?" she asked "Do I have it round my mouth? I ate it so fast!" Not only does she enjoy chocolate, she's neurotic enough to worry she's made a mess - just like us.

(2) Tattoo addictions
Victoria may look sweet and innocent but the naughty side of her is addicted to adding to her tattoo collection. She started off with four stars on the base of her back representing her, David, Brooklyn and Romeo and then got another star when Cruz was born. It's highly likely she'll now get a new ink for Harper. Then she has a Hebrew transcript down the back of her neck, the date she first met David on her wrist, the initials DB on her wrist and another Hebrew script on her wrist. Ouch!

(3) Run, Posh, run!
For years Victoria swore off exercise but she told me she found the gym when she moved to LA. At one point she was running four miles every day on the treadmill. She told me that it meant she could eat cupcakes without feeling guilty. Now that's motivation for you!

(4) High street secrets
When I asked Victoria what shop she missed most since moving to LA, she revealed: "Marks and Spencer". Not Harrods, not Selfridges, not Harvey Nichols but high street chain M&S. "I like their fruit salads, I like their easy to cook food, I like the way you can get gifts and tights and underwear in the same shop," she explained. It's hard to imagine Victoria in a M&S bra but let's remember that she wasn't always so Posh...

(5) Victoria never forgets
The Spice Girls announced they were reforming quite soon after I interviewed Victoria for her fragrance range. As I nervously went up to get a photograph with the whole band, Victoria grabbed my arm reassuringly and asked: "Hi, Zoe, How are you?" My heart almost stopped. One of the most well known women in the world knew my name! I stood in the wings and watched another tabloid journalist, Rav Singh from News of The World, approach her. Instantly she became more frosty. "Rav," she said menacingly, "What rubbish are you going to make up about us this time?"

No wonder Victoria's such a good mum - she won't put up with any nonsense.
