Although he received no previous exposure prior to being announced as part of the Top 24, Luke quickly became known as eye candy of the Orlando Bloom/Matthew Fox/Hugh Jackman variety.
Prior to AI, Luke was part of the a cappella group Chapter Six. The group has won multiple awards over the past few years and several clips are available on youtube.

In his EW exit interview he talks about his future: “A hosting gig, or some kind of acting — whether it's some kind of soap opera or drama. I'd also love to do Broadway someday.”
He reveals in his MTV interview that his wife was a contestant on the Price is Right and won three prizes. Also, he bonded with the other older guys in the competition, Jason Y., Michael and Dave Cook; they called themselves the Four Horsemen.
