Rumor of the Day: Victoria Beckham Bans Size 0 Models in NY Fashion Week Show

According to the UK's DailyMail website, Victoria Beckham has banned size zero models in her New York Fashion Week runway show.

The highly anticipated catwalk display of the Spice Girl-turned designer’s Spring 2011 collection will be modelled by healthy girls who look ‘realistic’ to encourage a positive image to impressionable teens.

Victoria has been holding casting calls for her models several times within the last week.

Mrs Beckham, 36, reportedly denied 12 models from appearing in her show after deeming them ‘too skinny’.

If you recall, after the launch of her fall 2010 collection in February, Mrs. B was on The View where she discussed this very issue. She said that Council of Fashion Designers of America "have actually reached out to designers, stylists and casting agents asking them to not work with underage girls, girls that are too thin and to be ethnically more aware...They are definitely trying to encourage designers to work with healthier-sized models."

And despite her own weight continuously being under scrutiny, Victoria claims she does eat properly and puts her thin frame down to being a busy mother-of-three and hectic business woman.

None of the models on her catwalk will be smaller than a size six and her runway show is set to see Sarah Jessica Parker, Mary J Blige, Tom Ford and Kristin Davis in the front row.
