Quite a few of you have been emailing me and commenting on the site about the new handbag line from Victoria Beckham. I hadn't seen or heard anything until today when I came across a first hand review on The Bag Snob (by Man Snob Jim) - I highlighted the important areas...
"As I prepared to view another splendid Victoria Beckham-narrated showing of her spring dress collection, what comes out on the models' arms that had me doing a double take? Handbags! "I love bags and this is one of the categories I wanted to really get into," Victoria told me. The small capsule collection that came out during the 26-look dress showing was impressive and undoubtedly reflective of Victoria's own aesthetic. There was a two tone lizard and calf clutch with chain as well as a crocodile hexagonal chain bag that are perfect for evening; a practical yet chic large travel bag that Victoria told me was designed with her husband, David, in mind (listen up men); a modern and practical dual fold shoulder bag in lizard and, of course, a namesake Victoria bag in super-structured buffalo leather that's large and roomy, not to mention structured--a great alternative to her favorite Hermès Kelly bags. The six bag collection, due out early--as soon as December 1--feature soft hues like fossil, a pure "What's White," as well as a waxed blush pink. There's also no outlandish logo in sight. "They [all] have a very minimal aesthetic to them," she said. "I wanted to offer bags that will stand the test of time." $1,750 and up."So it looks like we will see the bags out in stores relatively soon and in perfect time for Christmas. Unfortunately, the price range starts a bit too high for my liking right now so I think I may have to keep my wallet closed this time ...tear...
