Rumor Control: The Beckhams Will NOT be Moving to NYC

Now that was a rumor I doubted from the very beginning!

Despite reports that soccer star David Beckham and wife Victoria are looking to move to Manhattan, the couple's publicists told the NY Daily News they have no plans to become New Yorkers anytime soon.

"There is no truth to the story," reps for both David and Victoria told the Daily News Wednesday.

David Files Legal Action Against Prostitute Irma Nici

A few months ago we learned about the scandalous claims made by prostitue Irma Amici saying that she had an affair with David Beckham. We also learned that Beckham denied the story and filed legal action against her... to which she turned around and did the same.

To add to his lawsuit, David has filed a declaration to a Los Angeles court in his $25 million battle against Nici and the publishers of In Touch magazine: "Irma Nici's statements have caused me and my family great anguish and emotional distress, and have adversely affected both my personal and professional life."

Celebrities in VB: Kim Yun Jin in Victoria Beckham Fall 2010

Korean actress Kim Yun Jin wore the metallic Asymmetric Corset dress recently. If you notice, she did a bit of self modification in how she wore it. Instead of wearing the dress over her shoulder as it was presented on the runway, she decided to turn it into a tube dress. From the front, it actually doesn't look half bad, but the backside view seems to be a bit odd with the extra material just kind of hanging there.

What do you guys think of this mini modification? Love it or leave it?

Celebrities in VB: Lucy Liu in 'Marry Me' Wearing Victoria Beckham Fall 2010

In the Lifetime movie, Marry Me, Lucy Liu's character Rae wears the lovely (and one of my personal faves) teal drape front fitted dress, #53, from Victoria's fall 2010 collection.

In an interview with Lucy, she discusses the wardrobe and had this to say:

"There’s a gorgeous teal blue, greenish Victoria Beckham dress. It fit so well and it was pretty comfortable to wear. We ended up using that a lot in the movie. It’s my character’s basic style.”

The Beckhams Go Skiing... Indoors!

David and Victoria Beckham were spotted on a pre-Christmas indoor ski trip with their sons at The Snow Centre at Hemel Hempstead to the north of London on December 23rd.

One of the Beckham's sons, Romeo, had a ski lesson, while Brooklyn enjoyed some free skiing on the main slope.

"It was a family visit and The Snow Centre worked closely with the Beckham's security people to ensure it was a low-key and family day out for them all," Peter Gillespie the snowsports director at The Snow Centre has confirmed to PlanetSKI.

"David was a perfect gentleman and though he didn't ski himself he watched the boys from the side," adds Gillespie. "Victoria had a coffee in the bar that overlooks the slopes."

Victoria Congratulates New Dad Elton John

It seems that no-one was more thrilled about Elton John's baby news than Victoria Beckham who was among the first to send her congratulations to the singer and his partner David Furnish when they became parents on Christmas day.

"David and I are absolutely thrilled for Elton and David," said Victoria. "They have so much love to give and will be wonderful parents."

It seems that Victoria may be asked to be godmother to Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John. The 62-year-old singer is godfather to her 11-year-old son Brooklyn.

The Beckhams Arrive Home in LA

After spending several weeks in London for the Christmas holiday, Victoria Beckham and her family were spotted arriving home in LA through LAX airport. Victoria was dressed in leather pants, a long jacket, a tan scarf, and a self designed bag.

Check out Victoria's new YSL pumps! They were a bit unexpected after the endless Brian Atwood shoes she's been parading around in!

Rumor of the Day: The Beckhams Moving to NYC?

Victoria Beckham may love America, but Los Angeles just isn’t her thing. That’s right, Victoria is moving her fashionable family across the country to our homebase of New York. Maybe she’ll even hang out at the Styleite office and order in Indian food with us!

David currently plays soccer for the Los Angeles Galaxy, which is why the Beckhams moved to the States in the first place. Alas, Victoria is now a serious designer, so California just won’t suffice: “My work is so important to me and LA just isn’t a real fashion city.” We can’t disagree with that, but we also may be a little biased.

We thought New York might be in the family’s plans when Victoria told WWD that New York could be the location of her first store because “New York sounds quite fabulous.” In that same interview she gushed about how much she loved America: “We’ve loved it from the minute that we arrived, so we have no plans on going back to the U.K. at all.”

Though David will continue to play for the Galaxy (and stay at the family’s Beverly Hills manse when he has games), he’ll be based pretty far from his team. A source explains: ”Her friendship group in L.A. has disbanded and David was traveling a lot more than she’d anticipated and so was she. It just seemed to make sense for her to be based in fashion capital New York. It’s closer to London and Europe for her business meetings.”

*I find this extremely hard to believe. I highly doubt the Beckhams will make a move to NYC. They may purchase something there in the future as a place to stay while they are in the city, but both Victoria and David have professed their love of LA and I can't see them being anywhere else. Any opinons on this new rumor?

Victoria Beckham's Bags Sold Out in Hours

One second they were there, the next they were gone. Two of the pieces from Victoria Beckham's debut line of handbags were snapped up within hours on the first day they were available on Net-a-Porter UK. Now, there's no trace of them ever being there.

The bags featured were a leather and nubuck purse (left) and a $13,950 chain-strapped crocodile handbag (right). The cheaper of the two bags was sold out within an hour, while the incredibly expensive croc sold out by the afternoon. Who has $14K to spend on a purse in the middle of the day?

The 6-piece collection ranges from $1,800 to $13,950 and will be sold in its entirety later this month at Bergdorf's, Neiman's LA and Net-a-Porter. Clearly, Victoria has a hit on her hands!

Celebrities in VB: Carol Vorderman & Daughter Katie in Victoria Beckham Spring 2010 & 2011

During a recent interview and photoshoot for the UK's DailyMail, celebrity and huge VB fan Carol Vorderman and her daughter Katie both wore looks from different VB collections. Carol wore the lovely sleeveless Obi Seamed Fitted dress, #84, in blush from Victoria's spring 2011 collection with Christian Louboutin Madame Butterfly pumps. Katie wore the celebrity favorite
3/4 Sleeve Banded Dress, #36, from the spring 2010 line with simple black pumps.

It seems to be a tradition that is forming for the Beckhams during Christmas and that is a holiday dinner with the Ramsays. Here, David, Victoria, and the three boys made their way from the celebrity chef's home after having a pre-Chrismas meal. David left with a Marc Jacobs gift bag in hand... wonder what that was!

Victoria Beckham Handbags Featured in NAP's Holiday Magazine

Most of you may already know that Net-a-Porter has a digital magazine that comes out onto their website often. In the new Holiday issue, Victoria's bags are featured and titled "Most Wanted". On the page where the collection is featured is a small ringing telephone. If you click he phone, you hear a message from Victoria herself. The message basically talks about her bag collection and what is inside her purse right now (an iPhone, iPad, and a car charger just to name a few).

Victoria & Brooklyn Do Some Last Minute Shopping

A very chic Victoria, dressed in head-to-toe black, was spotted taking care of some last minute Christmas shopping with her eldest son Brooklyn on December 22nd. I really love those Brian Atwood RZ boots with the chain detail on the back! They really do spice up, excuse the pun, this all black look.

David Beckham Accepts his Lifetime Achievement Award & Victoria Gets Emotional

December 19th was a very special night for the Beckhams as the entire family gathered together to watch David accept the Lifetime Achievement Award at BBC's Sports Personality of the Year.

In the audience, a teary Victoria wiped her eyes as she watched her husband accept the prize along with her sons and David's mother, Sandra. A clearly emotional David also found it difficult not to cry as he thanked Victoria and their sons for their support over the years.

He said: "Of course, I want to thank my wife and my children. Not only has she given me three amazing boys but the support she's given me and she is truly and inspiration for me every single day. So Victoria, Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz - thank you." So sweet!!

Happy Holidays & Lots of Updates Coming Today!

Hi Everyone!

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday with your family and friends! I can't complain ;) My Christmas was great and it's nice to finally have time to dedicate to the blog again! You'll have to excuse my absence this week. I got a bit sick earlier in the week (which is seeming to become an unwanted holiday tradition for me) and I tried to rest so I'd be well for the holiday (it worked!) and then I, like many of you I'm sure, had the last minute things to take care of before this busy weekend!

Anyway, I wanted to let you all know that I have tons of updates coming today! I've been getting ready for the third annual VB Style Awards also! Can't wait to post them all this Thursday! Also, I've decided to take the comments off of moderation because it's been quite pleasant here and no unnecessarily cruel messages have been posted (thank you!). So please feel free to leave as many comments as you'd like to but I will place the moderation back on if I feel I have to.

Hermes du Jour: 22cm Black Kelly Pochette

It is a no-brainer that Victoria Beckham has one of the most coveted Hermes collections in Tinseltown. There are some pieces, like her black Birkin that she uses quite often and then their are others like this 22cm black Kelly pochette that hardly ever gets used.

This little mini bag has been in Victoria's closet for quite some time now and I only remember her spotted carrying it three times. At The Daily Mirror's Pride of Britain Awards in December 2005 (above)...

VBC Fan: Selita Ebanks

Last week I started a new feature called Victoria Beckham Collection Fan and my first post was all about Kelly Ripa's extensive VB dress collection. For my second post, I wanted to bring supermodel stunner Selita Ebanks to your attention.

Like Kelly, Selita is also a big fan of Victoria's dresses. The model owns at least four, that I know of anyway, and I'm sure her wardrobe will continue to expand with VB pieces.

Selita seems to favor pieces from the spring lines. She currently owns:

Rumor of the Day: The Beckhams to Exchange Custom Gifts

It has been so incredibly slow in Beckhamland lately that the media is now speculating on what they are going to give each other for Christmas. Here is a really interesting rumor story from Digital Spy:

David and Victoria Beckham are to exchange expensive customised gifts for Christmas, according to the Daily Star. The pair are said to have picked out luxury items during a shopping visit to Harrods. David has reportedly requested gold-plated headphones worth £1,500, while Victoria is thought to have asked for an £800 white crystal iPad cover.

A source said: "David and Victoria like to do things in style so these presents are perfect for them. They already have everything money can buy so wanted to indulge in something a bit different this Christmas." The married couple have also apparently ordered Dr. Dre headphones with black haematite crystals for their three sons - Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz - from the CrystalRoc range.

Becks to Receive the BBC Sports Personality Lifetime Achievement Award Tonight!

Former England captain David Beckham is to receive the BBC Sports Personality Lifetime Achievement award on Sunday.

The 35-year-old midfielder is England's most capped outfield player and won six Premier League titles and the Champions League crown with Manchester United.

He won the Spanish league with Real Madrid after a £25m move from United before joining Los Angeles Galaxy and also spent two loan spells at AC Milan.

In 2001 Beckham was named BBC Sports Personality of the Year.

The lifetime honour is one of several awards which will be presented during the BBC Sports Personality of the Year show from 1900 GMT on Sunday.

"David's record on and off the pitch has been remarkable," BBC Sports Personality of the Year editor Carl Doran said.

"It's a fitting reward for an outstanding career as a player and for his tireless work as an ambassador for British sport. He has also been a tremendous role model and I'm sure he'll get an amazing reaction from the public in Birmingham."

Nine years ago Beckham won the main award, voted for by the public, after an outstanding display for England against Greece in which his late free-kick earned the national side a place in the 2002 World Cup finals.

His England career began in September 1996 against Moldova with his latest, and 115th, cap coming against Belarus in October 2009. He also captained England 59 times in that period.

Having appeared and scored in the previous three World Cups, Beckham was expected to be selected for the tournament in South Africa in 2010.

But the player, who hails from east London, tore his Achilles tendon while on loan from LA Galaxy at AC Milan in March, and was ruled out of what would have been his fourth World Cup.

His celebrated England career owes a lot to the 10 years he spent at Old Trafford under the guidance of Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson, who won the first BBC lifetime award in 2001.

Having been part of United's venerated FA Youth Cup-winning side of 1992, Beckham went on to lift nine major trophies with the club.

One of his most memorable years was in 1999, when he helped United win the Treble. His corners led to the two late strikes which allowed the Red Devils to fight back from a goal down to beat Bayern Munich 2-1 in a dramatic Champions League final at Barcelona's Nou Camp.

It was also the year that the midfielder married former Spice Girl Victoria Adams, and the couple have three sons.

Beckham moved on to Real in 2003, where he played alongside the likes of Zinedine Zidane, Luis Figo, Raul and Roberto Carlos.

During his final season, 2006-2007, he won his only league title with the Madrid side, pipping Barcelona to the crown on the final day of the season.

A move to Major League Soccer in the United States with LA Galaxy followed and also two loan periods at Italian giants AC Milan.

Beckham lives in Los Angeles with his family but regularly returns to Britain and was a key member of the England 2018 World Cup bid, which lost out to Russia in the vote earlier in December.

David's Latest Blog

Hi everyone

With the football season in the US finished and Christmas almost here, I’m back in the UK with all the family. I managed to get up to Manchester on Monday to watch Manchester United play Arsenal. United won a tight match and it definitely puts them in a good place for a busy Christmas period, but I’m sure they’ll be plenty more twists and turns along the way in what has been a great Premier League season so far.

Tonight I’m off to the Millies Awards, which are our chance as a nation to recognise and honour the fantastic men and women of our Armed Forces. Having visited the troops in Afghanistan in May, I have seen for myself the amazing job they do. I’m honoured to be involved and the Awards are a great way of saying thank you for all the sacrifices they make on a daily basis for all of us.

We are planning a pretty relaxing Christmas in the UK and will be catching up with family and friends, which I’m really looking forward to. Whatever you’ve got planned over the festive period, I hope you have fun, see you in 2011

Model Sigrid Agren was photographed in the red fold neck fitted dress, #60, from Victoria's fall 2010 collection during a recent magazine photoshoot. The picture was featured in the November issue of both Glamour Hungary & Romania and was originally taken by Patrick Demarchelier for Allure in October.

In DB's Closet: Ralph Lauren Bags

Since David has been spending a lot of time shopping at Ralph Lauren, it wasn't exactly shocking to see him carrying two bags from the designer's holiday collection while traveling to London over the weekend.

David & Brooklyn Attend 'A Night Of Heroes: The Sun Military Awards'

Well this is a first! Usually the Beckhams do not take their children onto red carpets for events (not even the Teen Choice Awards), but today, David and his eldest son, Brooklyn, attended 'A Night Of Heroes: The Sun Military Awards' together in London at the Imperial War Museum. The event honors bravery within the armed forces.

The duo looked very adorable in suits but I still am not loving David's newest hairstyle. It was great to see them out together though, and for such a great event. Wish Victoria would've went! It's been quite a while since we've seen her last.
